BROOKLYN FLAMENCO FESTIVAL 2026
Festival Series • May 18–31, 2026 The Brooklyn Flamenco Festival is a new annual initiative celebrating flamenco through live performance, music, education, and cultural exchange across Brooklyn. Founded by acclaimed flamenco artist Sol “La Argentinita” Koeraus, the festival brings together artists from New York and abroad for performances, workshops, concerts, and community events throughout the borough. The inaugural 2026 edition features collaborations with local venues, guest artists, public programming, and interactive events designed to expand access to flamenco in Brooklyn. FESTIVAL EVENTS Monday, May 18 Festival Collaboration Night 📍 LunÀtico - 486 Halsey St, Brooklyn, NY 11233 LunÀtico transforms into an intimate Andalusian-style tablao featuring live flamenco guitar, voice, percussion, and dance. Saturday, May 23 📍 Alegrias La Nacional (Manhattan) Promotional partner event supporting festival visibility. Featuring Sol “La Argentinita” Koeraus. Tuesday, May 26 Festival Pop-Up Subway Performance 📍 MTA Music Under New York Series A live flamenco pop-up performance presented as part of the Brooklyn Flamenco Festival community outreach programming. Wednesday, May 27 7:00 PM Flamenco Without Borders From the Roots: Mexico • Argentina • Flamenco 📍 South Oxford Space 138 South Oxford Street, Brooklyn, NY 11217 An intimate live concert where flamenco meets the musical roots of Argentina and Mexico. Featuring guitarist Nicolás Salcedo, percussionist Ricardo Sánchez, and flamenco artist Sol “La Argentinita” Koeraus. A unique evening of live music, improvisation, and cultural connection. Thursday, May 28 Featured Artist Series: Rebecca Thomas 📍 The Heights Casino 75 Montague St, Brooklyn, NY 11201 Friday, May 29 • 12:00 PM Interactive Flamenco Experience 📍 Brooklyn Heights Library 286 Cadman Plaza West, Brooklyn, NY 11201 An engaging introduction to flamenco through live music, dance, rhythm, and audience participation. Saturday, May 30 (Tentative) Community Flamenco Night 📍 Sisters (TBC) A community-centered flamenco gathering featuring live artists, music, and guest participation. Sunday, May 31 Brooklyn Flamenco Festival Closing Celebration 📍 Salon on Kingston 105 Kingston Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11213 An evening celebrating the next generation of flamenco artists and the vibrant growing flamenco community of New York.
